It's actually not that extensive. (I looked it up) I've had the 'standard' ingrown toenail removal surgery done on both of my big toes, more than once on one (tractor ran me over while it was healing >.< ) and I absolutely recommend getting it operated on. I waited for years before seeing a podiatrist about it, and I would have been a lot happier and in much less pain if I hadn't put it off.
