I have a boyfriend, but he’s kind of been a little distant since I told him I may be bisexual. Now my bestfriend/ the guy who used to like me and I liked him wants to hang out. I don’t know if it’s a good idea or not, since me and my boyfriend are a little distant right now.
Not a good idea to hang out with someone else right now, especially since you liked him before and those feelings could easily come back. You don't want to have feelings for two people at once, trust me! Wait till things settle down with your boyfriend FIRST, if he gets too distant then cut him off. He's obviously not comfortable with the idea of you being bi-sexual.
You should ask your boyfriend for a final answer on whether he is ok with you being bisexual. He might be viewing it as a threat to his "manhood" and "masculinity" so assure him it's nothing of the sort.
I have a long distance girlfriend and she's bisexual but I don't have a problem with it because I know that she's not gonna go off and dump me for a girl. Honestly it's not at all affecting anything because there's still the same chance of that happening. Maybe he's uncomfortable from one or both of these reasons; Is he uncomfortable with non heterosexual sexualities in general? (is he maybe for religious reasons or something)Or maybe he is scared to lose you and the idea of you being open to more people (even though it isn't a rational fear he may feel that) and is distancing himself because he feels that's what your sexuality does to him.Try and make him more comfortable with it. If you speak to him honestly and if he's a good guy he'll understand.Good luck :)
Hang out with your friend until your boyfriend comes to terms with who you are. Don't alter what you do or who you are for someone having second thoughts about you. Have a good time, do what makes you happy
