Are there seriously no more nice people around?

I get you, bro! Even seeing my siblings being such asses and so selfish, i seriously wonder if all the people are just so self-absorbed, like where the world's going?? But it's also true, that (not bragging) but people like me exist too, who still DO think about others. Even sometimes, if i do get a bit selfish, i regret it and feel bad and would want to do something to undo it. But it's true that it takes only person to make some difference. I mean we shoudnt stop being caring if the world is not. But at the same time, we shouldnt make ourselves doormats for others to rub their dirty feet on. Balance is crucial.:)

I like to think there is, I know there is sincere people out there. Sadly, humans aren't perfect, we're selfish creatures and we like attention and we easily get jealous of things we don't have... amongst a billion different things. Not to mention a bit vain, some slightly more than others. It's just the way things have always been, though now it seems as if it's got worse, or people are more open with there intentions.

I don't claim to be perfect myself, in anyway. But I like to consider myself as nice, caring about the people around me. And frankly, not really interesting at all so it's not hard to interest myself in others rather than my own affairs. Plus, when you care about people, you are genuinely interested and you want them to be happy.

The older we become, the more we tend to listen to and consider other people. It could very well be the product of your age group.

Try branching out and getting some older friends, for starters. It might surprise you.

Humans are just like that. What the person above said is right, we're vain and selfish creatures. But, in a way, we're the nicest creature out there. Altruism- doing something for the good of others, whether it negatively affects you or not- is observed very, very rarely in other animals. Humans are the most altruistic creatures on the planet. Of course there are good people in the world, there always has been and there always will be. But there are bad people as well, and they are just as everlasting. It might take some time sorting through all the bad, but don't give up hope.
