Am I really too affectionate?

0

My girl friend and I have been together for about two years now, she says I bother her sometime by asking to hold her hand to much, asking for too many kisses and pda overall. Is it bad to be affectionate in public? I don’t mean like tongue down each others throats I mean just a simple hug or pop kiss? Do I stop showing affection? Idk I tell her it doesnt bother me but deep down it kinda hurts =(

Try not to take it personally - especially if it's just PDA she doesn't like. Some people get easily embarrassed in front of others or see stuff like that as more of a private thing they want to share alone with you.

it could make her feel uncomfortable, try talking to her about it. You could be a little over-affectionate, so you could try to lay off a little bit but don't completely stop.

Talk to her about it. See what things she does and doesn't like to do in public.

I don't think that there is anything wrong with being affectionate, however, sometimes it can be too much. Personally I enjoy public affection every now and then but I dont feel the need to be all over my significant other all the time. Sometimes I do just want to enjoy their presence without being physical. I love affection and I think its good that you want to show it, and if it bothers you that your girlfriend doesnt like it, maybe you should have a talk with her and you guys can come to a compromise. That's what relationships are all about, give and take.

There's two possibilities:
One is she's not too keen on public affection exactly as stated in the posts above. (I used to be like that. I'd maintain this radius and freak out when my bf then put his hands around my waist in public).
Another that would be really helpful is to get to know the kind of love language she'd rather receive: http://www.5lovelanguages.com/profile/
I used to wonder wrong with my bf cuz he just can't stop touching me in public/private/wherever. I'm not referring to sexual touching in case you're wondering. Turns out his love language was touch.
