Adding my crush on Facebook?

0

In the past, I have talked about the crush I have (“Does he like me or is he just being friendly?”). Many people said that there’s a strong possibility that he likes me. I figured since I only see him when he’s on breaks from school, I could try to find some sort of way to keep in touch with him.

I figured adding him on Facebook could be a possible baby step. I have looked him up twice a few months ago, but that was it. Now with Facebook’s search bar, if I even type the first two letters in (sometimes only the first), he’s near the top of my list of suggestions. Which I find odd…

I know that social networking shouldn’t consume our lives, but I wanted to see if it would be a good idea to add him on Facebook with no mutual friends? Whenever he was home, we seemed to hit it off great. Would this be okay, or would it just come off as creepy?

Thanks, everyone!

if you know him, and he knows you, it's not creepy to add him as a friend. I add people all the time because I like to keep a strong network going on. No one finds it creepy in the least, and most people enjoy staying connected. if you two hit it off great anyway, i'm sure he'd be flattered to see a request from you.

Honestly, just go for it. You have nothing to lose really. Most people these days accept everyone they get friend requests from, especially if they know them.

Thanks for the responses. We haven't seen each other since August, and I just thought it would come off as creepy.

I don't think it'd come off as creepy. You know him, he knows you. It's not as if you're a random person adding him, go for it and see what happens. :)

It's not creepy at all, that's what FB is for, to keep in touch with friends.

**I suppose I can get over this now, as he has it set up so that he has to add people, not the other way around. Guess I'll be waiting until we cross paths again. Thank you for help, everyone. Thanks, everyone. I had always wondered if guys thought, "No mutual friends? She really must have had to take the time to find me. Stalker," when a girl did that. Hah. Maybe I'm just nervous that he'll run away over our age gap (both in our twenties, but he's ~6 years older).
