We're all slaves of our own. A lot of people are slaves to being socially accepted and stuff like that. You're not a slave to music, you're probably a slave to the feeling music gives you. That's normal, it's you being happy. It's you being free. Kind of a paradox isn't it? You're a slave to the thing that makes you feel free. I think that's passion. Have an amazing day. :)

I'm a slave to correct spelling and grammar, although I'm tempted to sometimes break the rules and it feels so good...
I disagree with your materialistic outlook, but it's true people get tied down by the things they value. We are all slaves to keeping our bodies fed and watered, and perhaps to our animal instincts to survive and thrive... But if the master and slave are the same person then how can either be said to exist? It perhaps depends on where you define the boundary of the self.

You can't be a slave of happiness cause happiness has no will, in a way it is your will and your person is defined by what brings you happiness and what does not but I would argue that saying that you are a slave to happiness is just a poetic analogy with little implication.
