Like most people who've done it, I was inspired to study psychology because of the profound influence a school counselor had in my life. Her insight, support, and unconditional love changed my life completely – as did her ability to intuit and understand how and why I thought the way I did.
I combined my study of psych with qualifications and specialization in outdoor activities like rock climbing, kayaking, and other awesome outdoor adventures. "The mountains shall bring peace to the people" – we all need to get out in order to get out of ourselves!
I love classic literature (Shakespeare in particular); Wodehouse, Dickens, Austen, Bronte, Jim Corbett and C. S. Lewis…music (classical, celtic, and folk, with a dash of golden-age jazz)…I'm a Christian, and I believe our first and foremost God-given right is to the right to choose – and act upon – what we want to believe. The right to self-determination and free will is fundamental!
My goal, with each passing day, is to learn the art of seeing the person within; we are all so much more than what we appear.
