I haven’t been here in ages! Partly because nothing notifies me of what’s happening here unless I physically come here to check for updates.

There’s not much you can do. Neither of you control whom you two have feelings for. I guess- if I were you- I would spend time being friends with him until either he falls in love with somebody else or you do. You could still get to know him as his friend and learn if you really like him or not.
