@jawn aw that’s lovely! You should be very proud of yourself! I have one question though how did your doctor sent you to it? I’m thinking of asking for help but since I’m unsure of the procedures..
It’s good to see you reaching out to find the right help and support that will benefit you @jawn, I’m sure you will find a therapist or counsellor who you will be able to open up too, do get your thoughts and feelings out so you can brightly smile and be upbeat, remember you are such a special individual who truly deserves happiness, everything will be OK, know that the BT community will always be here for you and so will I, inbox me anytime if you want to chat or vent, stay strong, you are never alone (hugs)
Hey, I just went to the doctors, I said it was urgent and I needed support, and was very honest about everything I had been thinking and feeling lately, and answered their questions. They called another service to refer me, and I was accepted, and the community mental health people called me later that day for an assessment. I don’t think its easy to get this help though due to lack of funding, I have been going to the GP about my problems for three years and had two courses of counselling and only now are they considering giving me a higher level of support, but I wish you luck with getting the help you need, and make sure you don’t downplay your needs (which I have done in the past out of embarrassment). Also to avoid jumbling it all up in your head or missing important details, it might help to make a list of what to say (this site is helpful for that: http://www.docready.org) All the best

Thank you Oli, I always appreciate your comments. You are a great help to so many people on this site, and have made me feel less alone!
