    Exactly. There’s a difference between ”long distance relationships don’t work” and ”I wouldn’t get into one.”. The first sentence makes fun of all long-distance lovers, while the second one is a personal fact and opinion.

      Actually.. It’s cos, both of them live in different cities/countries. It means that to remain in contact wouldn’t be that easy anymore. Their activities are different. Routines too.
      And most of the times, they can t be there for each other like they used to cos of those differences.
      Thats how the ”long distance relationships” don’t work

      You can love somebody and your relationship can still be more trouble than you can handle. They probably meant that they don’t believe they can work in the long term, and they are not ready to get into that deep in something that can be frustrating like being so far apart. It works for some people, but the person you refer to prefers to not get into one.

    I know I shouldn’t be like this, but sometimes feeling the victim of the situation makes me feel better in some way. I mean, it’s much easier to go to bed thinking ”I am nothing to him, I hate everyone, people sucks” than saying ”ok. There’s nothing wrong in this situation but my attitude.”.

    Last night I managed to be a better person. Setting people you love free is such a relief, from now on I will do it more often. And remember: if you really love someone, set them free, don’t keep them in a cage.
