yesterday i inspired yet another friend (its been four people now) to speak up about their story of abuse (she has an abusive mom). she came crying to me at lunch and then cried on my shoulder for periods 5 through 7 (about three hours). i took her to the counselor and told them everything. today theyre gonna pull me out of my classes to call cps anonymously with her.
im so proud of her. she is braver than i will ever be, and stronger than i ever was. she can heal in ways i never will, and do things ill never do. its so awesome that shes getting the chance i never got
its kind of ironic that im the silenced one and im helping others speak, isnt it

    • That is such a great thing FadingEcho. I wish I could’ve helped a girl in high school but I was too afraid her dad would kill her and I’d be the cause of her death. So I stayed silent and tried to be good friend. I can only hope she made it out fine.

Good for your friend, she is indeed so incredibly brave and you should be so proud of yourself for being there for her.
