So, I think I had a psychogenic blackout yesterday. I googled it, and google was all like, ”oh by the way, these are like, seizures and stuff” so that scared me until I saw the other bit –

Basically what happened was I took an AP test. In the middle, my anxiety spiked through the roof, and I don’t remember the second half of the test. Nor do I remember the rest of the day. I had a psychogenic blackout and forgot the rest of the day, even though I have people that told me that I was acting normally, if a bit stressed, and interacting with them.

Wtf. Never forgotten a whole day before.

    Mood : Anxious

    • I’d really recommend talking to your physician about this, for a referral to a good therapist (if you aren’t already seeing one.) A CBT (cognitive behavioral therapy) approach is terrific for managing anxiety and helping provide you with coping skills when faced with situations that send you into ”fight/flight/freeze” modes of anxiety. With some proactive therapy work, you can get back in control of your body responses and avoid situations like that again. Best to you! :)
