The people in my life feel like I’m not trying hard enough to fix my depression. They get mad at me, say I need to do more, tell me things I know already. I’m just… stuck. Anyone with depression will get this. It’s not as easy as ”just think positive,” the way my dad says. My family is sick of hearing my thoughts, my friends are telling me to go find help because they’re clearly not helping (even if they are).

Also, I’m really sorry, @anxietyattack66. I didn’t know before, but now I do. I’m sorry for doing the exact thing my family and friends are doing to me now. I didn’t know, Steve. Can you forgive me?

    • I will always forgive you, no matter what. My dad always gets mad at me whenever I mention the word depression, but it’s something I go through everyday. I feel that he has depression also, but doesn’t want to reveal it since he doesn’t want his family to get sad and worried.

    • Thank you so much, @anxietyattack66 and @oliver.

    • People who has not dealt before with depression often does not now how to help. ”Just think positive”, ”just smile”, ”there’s no reason to be sad”. I like to make a comparisson with a person who is drowning. You would never tell them ”Hey, just breath, it’s easy!”. It’s the same with depression. Your family should support you, specially when your going through hard times. You can count on me and everyone in BT Echo, we are here to support you, listen to you, and help as much as we can. You can do it, never stop believing in yourself!
