Just a couple suggestions— if you don’t have a 504 plan in place already at your school, they are available to students with diagnoses (either physical or psychological) who need reasonable accommodations to successfully access their curriculum/education. This could include extra time for assignments, shortened assignments, pull-out setting for testing, etc. (there are many). Just takes a parent request for the 504 consideration and a physician’s order stating your diagnosis and how it impacts you with school. Also, tweaking meds is never fun, but have you stepped up the talk-therapy to help you with other coping skills and self-regulation? Pills alone aren’t the fix, and sometimes more frequent psychotherapy is your answer. Best to you.
I would talk to your parents and doctors about your medication and other ways to help you so you feel positive, motivated and upbeat @985921sqh, you will be OK Echo, work on finding strategies to calm yourself and help you stay focused so you can achieve all your goals, everything will be OK sweetie, you will complete all your projects and be successful, I believe in you Echo and I’m so proud of you, keep going and never give up, you can do it, inbox me anytime if you want to chat or vent, stay strong, you are never alone (hugs)
That really sucks, It’s ok if you don’t want to do work at the moment, as long as you can take care of yourself and get the appropriate medications needed for your anxiety, you’ll be in safe hands. Take it easy lad, don’t build up this stress and pressure onto yourself because that’s not healthy, and it’ll slow you down even more which is not what you need in order to complete all your projects. I believe in ya lad, you’ll finish your projects, sure you’ll get some points off, but it’s better to receive a good grade than a zero, which I know you don’t want to get out of these projects.
@listeningemma, @oliver, and @anxietyattack66 – Thank you so much for the suggestions. I have a 504 already in place, but maybe it’s time to review my accommodations. Thank you for your kindness, too. Your words always brighten my day. And, lastly, thank you for your understanding. I really appreciate your advice.
