I have a friendship that is complicated. We know each other since year 11. At the time I was struggling with depression and anxiety (Im better but still struggle) and she was struggling with anorexia, bulimia and anxiety. She’s much bettter now and graduated from law school.
And recently she reached out to me asking me how I was. This after everyone stopped talking to me, everyone went away due to my anxiety, yet she reached out to me.
2 days ago we met cause I had to get a papper to my university and she came with me. We talked, laughed, talked about our problems, relationships and even had lunch together.
When coming home she invited me to go next week to a book festival (we’re both bookworms) and today she tagged me on a very cute and supportive anxiety facebook post.
This to say the most fucked up people are sometimes honestly the best. Maybe because they went through so much they get it.
It made me smile. I’m gratefull I have a real friend after so many people hurting me and leaving.
