I agree with @delirious-carnium, surround yourself with supportive and good people who can help you through this situation @depanda, my parents live apart too but are still cordial with each other, hopefully it will be like not much has changed and you will still be able to live your life pretty well Tara, hope everything goes OK, I’m always here if you need to chat (hugs)

Thanks a lot for the support guys. Everything is actually going fairly well. My mom is moving but just across town so I can see her when ever. After talking with my parents I have a better understanding of how everything is going to work. They don’t hate each other and they agree that this might help every one communicate better about stuff. My mom is going to be around for a while still but it’s really peaceful and I’m glad that it’s not big and ugly.
I’m getting a better grip on things now. Luckily there wasn’t any custody battles or anything and it’s getting a lot better.
