I’ve always thought of myself as straight, but sometimes I am attracted to specific women. I’m not attracted to the ”good-looking”, ”model”-type men OR women who other people drool over, and furthermore I am not attracted to the widely valued physical features, such as abs. A romantic attraction is usually sparked by a visible aspect of their personality along with a certain quirk somewhere among their facial features. This is true for both men and women, yet the idea of having sex with a man is more appealing to me than if it was with a woman (unless she is someone I have specifically become attracted to.) While at the same time, with the women I become attracted to I always form a deeper, much more intense infatuation with. I don’t understand my sexuality at all. What is this? Does anybody have any ideas on this?

    • I guess I’m asking whether anyone knows if there’s actually a term for this as it would be nice to be able to explain it in a way that people can understand.

    • People who aren’t sexually attracted to their same gender but experience romantic attraction for their gender on top of the one for the other gender, can be called heterosexual bi-romantic (or pan-romantic), you can check the experiences under that label to see if you identify with it. @janna (anyone how thinks I’m making it too binary can offer a more inclusive definition)
