At the same time, do not bother arguing with your family, simply tell them that what they’re saying is offensive and if they care, they will stop. Anyone who mocks you after being told that they are being insulting is not deserving of your time. Stay away from them and do not involve them in your life and your quality of life will begin to improve.
We cannot make everyone like us, even those people who we feel SHOULD, such as family, the reality is that even families have irreconcilable differences. Do not blame yourself for it, and do not carry the weight of their bigotry on your shoulders. It is not your burden to bear.

Okay both of these answers are ridiculous, useless and it’s spam. I’ve had some what of the same problem, here is what you do: every time they make a shitty, non-funny, bullshit joke, you don’t get offended, or you don’t let them see that. You start an argument, asking question, make it uncomfortable and ask alot of questions like ”Why is that funny?”, ”What do you mean by that?”, ”That’s not how the world works”, and don’t forget the journalisitic propaganda question: ”So are you saying that… you love rape/you are homophobic/ every muslim is a terroist?” As long as you make it VERY uncomfortable, and whatever you say starts an argument. They won’t find it funny to do it anymore because it’s followed by a tsunami of questions, and they will stop making dumbass jokes infront of you. Now they will just do it when you are not there, which is probably the best you can hope for.
