Being best friends like you used to is not possible I’m afraid. You should always be civil and friendly because of your children but don’t get too close because it will only lead in heart ache, especially now that he has a new girlfriend. I know it’s hard not to want to be his best friend but you can’t. It will lead to complications with his new girlfriend and if with your new significant other. And you don’t want that kind of drama.
