Where are some places I can get a job?

When I was 17 I worked at a grocery store. First as a stocker and then at the bakery. Also, hotels are always hiring for "housemen". It's a fairly simple job at most hotels, you just strip linens from dirty rooms and deliver to laundry dept. If you'd prefer office work, try looking for entry level office jobs as a "file clerk" or "courier". Some couriers even receive tips on top of hourly pay. And, of course, shopping malls are always hiring entry level sales reps in retail stores. Just a few ideas, I hope you find something you like soon. Remember, it's always better to apply in-person, fill your application and introduce yourself to the mgr. Try to hand him/her the application yourself (and dress nicely!) I hope my ideas help. It depends what kind of job you want, do you want like a temporary job, or like a job-job that's temporary (if that makes sense) (I assume you're not looking at a career)? You could try supermarkets, and be a cashier or a shelf-filler. Any kind of store at your local mall as a cashier or filler. Maybe you could be an assistant at some kind of office? If you have you're license, a delivery dude for something, pizza or flowers or whatever else needs delivering. There isn't a whole lot of variety for 17 year olds, some kind of store is usually the most common way to go. Just have a look at the places near you, don't be too picky, and see if there are any jobs you could do. Good luck. I hope this helps.

A supermarket stock filler could fit a school schedule. You could be a night filler. You fill up all the shelves AFTER the shop closes, which is way after school finishes. Gives you time to do some homework. You can usually specify what hours work best for you and how many you can work when you apply also.
