Should you still tell people how you feel?

If you are struggling with letting go of an unjust act that was done to you.. Should you tell the person that committed the act or should you spend the energy somewhere else and not even bother?

Do what feels right for you. If it's something that helps you get closure, then go for it. But don't let the things that happened in the past, darken your future. Ultimately, focus on making yourself happy, you being the number one priority.

Accept the things you cannot change, and change the one's you can.

I think it's ok to tell them what you feel, if the act itself of telling them is going to help you get over it, or if speaking up means being treated differently in the future. But if you look into a closure you feel you can get only if they do something after you tell them, like an apology, or recognizing your hurt, keep in mind that it might not happen, so don't focus on the outcome, just on the act.

Yes you should...because your going to have a bitter taste when they come near and the matter will not go away...it will be in your mind consistently. Thus just confess what act they committed and how it makes you feel...it might actually make them change so do it...before you waste your time thinking about it even more.Hope things work out. -Emma

I would say if you're unhappy about how things are now (i.e not telling) then the only way to make a change is to tell. Otherwise it'll always be there, bugging you. Telling others is really the best way for closure.

Calmly and rationally address the problem.

The Wizard's Fourth Rule states: "There is healing in sincere forgiveness; in the forgiveness you grant and moreso in the forgiveness you receive."

Seeking to make amends, or at the very least to bury the hatchet so that no negative feelings are left over, is generally the right thing to do. Not every situation has a butterflies-and-rainbows positive outcome, but it is the effort that matters.

I would just tell the person and that's all. So basically both.. :P
