Need Advice, Work and ADHD

Hello,
Im 20 this year and I recently just finished my education (1 week ago) and I started looking for job directly.
I found a part time job, which is Server in a Wedding Banquet, my job responsibilities is taking care over 1 tables of 10 peoples.
I have to serve the food, regularly pouring drinks and change their plate.
Ive never work before, so theres alot of things I dont understand and I messed up alot in my first day (wrong drink to customer, serve to wrong person, etc)
My question is I wonder if I should continue?
Theres various of reason why I wanted to quit, the first one is because I keep forget things, I keep giving wrong drink to wrong person and many other things.

Second, I dont know whether this job suit me, I dont know what talent I have and what I want to do, this job seems hard to me, the reason I want to try is because of getting paid, they dont really provide training as well.

Third, I dont have enough confidence, I feel customer is the king, so im trying to provide everything perfect and fast and end up messy, Im quite scared/coward as well.

Fourth, Im weak, Im male and only 44 kgs, the plate in the restaurant is quite heavy and I have to regularly change plate or pour water, my hand would keep shaking and disturb the guest seating.

Lastly, I believe I got ADHD ( cant focus and forgetful) my life is kinda hard with ADHD so I did make appointment this thursday to see doctor and ask for meds for life improvement.

Actually, my teacher is the one that suggest me for check up, and I read online about the symptoms and I think it fits me well.

Alot of things happen on my first day of work,
I suppose to take care a table (10 ppls), before actually serving. We have to do some presentation, so after the door open, the servers would come in and wait for signals then serve the food. However I serve it directly, and my colleagues tap me so I pull back the food, now it became awkward, the people in the table was just looking at me, like I was some kind of joke and when serve or pour drink Im so scared to open my mouth to excuse myself, often my cloth would touch the drink which is really inappropriate and unhygenic and when serve the soup, you have to place the whole soup and pour it into 10 bowl infront of 10 people (looking & me)but my hand is just shaking and sometimes messed up.

My colleague also feel suck working as a team with me, I dont know whether I should continue..

I see why your nervous. I work in the cafeteria of my school and did thing up front. I also have a friend who is a waitress. im sure you will do fine. If your worried about the people, dont be. be polite and focus on the cups or bowls as your serving and if you make a mistake, which is nothing to be ashamed of, then just get them the right thing. most are forgiving to newer waiters when they make a mistake and if that does happen simply appoligize and say your new.it is up to you weither to keep doing the job but i encourage you to continue because the first day is always the hardest. Also i know the feeling of hands shaking, mine shakes with heavy items. i hope this helps

You can't judge the direction of a job based off of the first day. The first time I did a serving job, I dropped a plate on someone. Give yourself some time. Talk to your manager or a coworker with some seniority and ask for tips or help until you can get it under control. As for the medication, it'll probably help you feel less miserable about it. I think you'll do just fine.

As others have said ,it was the first day and you cant tell beyond nerves how you will be when you have a bit of time to settle in.I had a wait job when I was younger too,and didnt have a clue. You can perhaps go in just a few minutes early and speak to your boss and let them know you are truly wanting the job and say thanks for having patience with me on my first day! They will no doubt be greatful to hear that from you.Br/>Also what about asking for some extra tips on how to improve your memory to who gets what, may be then they will advise you on what will help more, and they will understand where you are comming from.I use to write in my own short hand every thing down ,if it means looking at the paper before heading to the table ,then so be it,it may be what helps you untill you get use to it.Br/>Im sure if they know you have not done this before that its mainly nerves ,as we all go through it,even in a new job after you have worked for many years,we all still have to start from the beginning.
Good luck!
