Is this illegal?

Is it illegal to consistently tell someone to kill themselves over the internet? And telling them to die and that they’re worthless and stupid and they should slit their wrists? I think it’s technically cyberbullying/death threats. Also saying that they’d punch you in the face if you were there in real life. But I don’t know. It’s really getting out of hand, I’m ready to just give up and give her what she wants.

I cannot say if it is illegal, but it certainly is immoral. My advise is to keep screen shots or print outs of these messages then talk to the police about how you are being harassed. There may be something they can do. If you are a juvenile, please also tell your parents, teachers, principal and school counselor. I bet someone can help.

It's never your place to tell someone they should or should not die. If you're ever in a situation that you feel you can no longer help it is your place to suggest someone more suited to their needs such as a professional.

Please don't give up! Don't let them win, they don't deserve that! Like "JustMe" said, taking screenshots is a good idea. Tell friends or parents about the bullying. They can give you support. You can also delete your social media/email accounts, or change your mobile number. (Depends on where you get the messages.) Good luck, and remember, bullying is never your fault!

Everyone else said what I was thinking. Basically... I'd try avoiding this person. Its a shame how sick people can be. Hugs.

Take a log of these messages, screenshots, whatever and show them to someone, the police, your parents, school counsellor. Their behaviour is unacceptable and it needs to be dealt with.Don't hurt yourself over nasty people, if it gets unbearable try changing your accounts, phone number etc. You don't deserve this so don't ever feel afraid or ashamed to ask for help.
