Is it strange that I haven’t been in a relationship in 7 years?

The last time I was in a relationship was in high school, and I’m an adult now. I don’t even know how to approach or even breech this topic with anyone, and I’m kind of embarrassed to reveal the truth to anyone I know.

I haven't been in a (Serious) relationship in 16 years. It was only a year ago that I found someone worth while. To be honest, it's better that you're not off in the dating world nowadays. Then again, I watch too much Jerry Springer and Cheaters. Good quality shows, if you can get over the drama.

It's okay to be single- it's not a crime. You just need to get out there a little more. You don't HAVE to start dating immediately, start with making a few guy friends and progress further when you think you might seriously want to be more than friends.

It's normal and it's okay. You're still young and still have more life ahead of you. Just let things be and when the time is right it'll come to you. You can go out with friends to a club and meet guys and go on dates and see what that leads to. Don't worry too much about that when you have more important things to worry about. Your time will come (:

I was in the same position as you, my only relationship was when I was a sophomore in high school until about 8 months ago, I am 21 now. I met him online and am going to meet him for the first time in about a month. People say that once you no longer care about finding someone and stop looking, someone will come to you and I believe that. Just go out, have fun, don't think about finding that "someone". Everything happens for a reason, someone will take an interest in you just hang in there :)

Of course it's okay. You haven't found anyone worth your time. And that's nobody else's business.

Dont worry dear. The right time will come for that. Dont pressure yourself. I, myself, at the age of 19 years old, never had a boy friend. I've got a number of reasons. I don't even have any admirers for the past 4 years lol. But, hey, there are a lot of things that you can do as a single person compare to a person who is already in a relationship. Enjoy it as of the moment! And just let the tie flow. Dont wait for it. Just let it come naturally to yoy :)
