Is anyone Russian/done a Russian GCSE?

Hopefully there’s a rare few on here that are Russian or have done a Russian GCSE…
Well let me start by saying I’m a northerner at heart, I come from the north of England but I’m a quarter Russian and I’m fluent in it…I don’t even know how because I didn’t even sit down and learn it!
But anyway I did a GCSE in Russian last year and I got an A, I know this probably sounds stupid but I’m supposed to be Russian and fluent and I only got an A? I probably sound like ungrateful but I genuinely did try hard in it and I feel like almost guilty with myself for not getting an A* I mean I got an A* in listening, A in speaking, and both B’s for reading and writing, miraculously I got an A but I can’t help but feel guilty.
IVE LET DOWN THE RUSSIAN RACE. That’s exactly how I feel, and please whoever says to me that I can resit next year I’m completely against that idea because whoevers done it will know how STRESSFUL AND TIRING IT IS TO SIT A LANGUAGE EXAM ESPECIALLY A RUSSIAN ONE, with a stupid hard alphabet :( I always panic in exams especially speaking ones, for example I was doing a French speaking exam and I started speaking Russian?!?
Please someone…ANYONE help me stop feeling guilty!
Cheers

That sounds horrible ;-; I can tell you that there's no such a thing as 'Russian race'. There are plenty of Russian people, and a LOT of them are really disrespectful stupid folks, who can't get an A in their own mother language! You don't need to think about these 'russian' guys and feel guilty, right? Also, there are a lot of educated, kind and nice people. And you know what? They wouldn't say a bad thing about you! Because you try to speak their language, they would respect you, as I'm respecting you. And, you know, you don't need to pass perfectly the exam to be good at Russian. Exams don't show a lot. They don't really matter. It's ok. I'm telling you as russian speaker
