How to cope with being hopeless..

0

I have felt for the past 4 years that there is absolutely no hope for me or my life due to the events that have happened and how strongly they affected me mentally. But this question isn’t really about me, it’s about you. How have you coped with feeling completely hopeless? Do you still feel that way or have you found something worth “living for”?

I feel hopeless everyday, but I beleave for as bad as I feel there are at least a million people who have it worse so I might as well keep going. Another reason to not give up is that if you give up often you will be in a worse situation than trying to salvage what you have. Don't give up! No matter what it is! :) We are here for you.

Just remember that no matter how you feel, your mind is playing tricks on you. I was diagnosed with clinical depression a couple of years ago, and I can tell you that "Hopeless" was my middle name. I absolutely loathed life, and felt as if there was nothing worth living for. Now, I'm better. I live for my family, my friends, and most of all, myself. I started writing poetry, singing, going into therapy, and finding out more about myself I never knew. I live for self-expression. There's always going to be bumps in the road, but I promise that it will get better.

i do this thing called the wheel of life it sounds corny but i guess it kinda works cuz it helps you put things in perspective make a circle and split up into 8 equal parts and name each part of the circle an important part of your life, for example: friends, health, love, school/work, mental growth, family, creativity/fun, organization, dreams/ambition... and then like grade these categories depending on how good it's going out for you out of 10 you can fill it in with color or whatever and then you congratz yourself on the best categorie and on the lowest, you write three things: 1. the best thing you could possibly get out of making this part of your life better 2. the next baby step you will take to make it better 3. how you will make sure you get that step done (make a bet with somebody for ex) This just kinda gives a goal to distract you until things get better on their own Might not help but that's what i do but im no expert i have the same prob as you :) good luck with everything!
