It does sound overwhelming! And, as you said, your family has had a tough year. This won't go on forever. So that's good to keep in mind. And there are lots of things you can do to make this easier.
1. There are some wonderful comforting books that will help sooth you and put things in perspective. Pema Chodron's
When Things Fall Apart, http://www.amazon.com/When-Things-Fall-Apart-Difficult/dp/1570623449/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1409540858&sr=8-1&keywords=when+things+fall+apart is a gentle, comforting book for difficult times. Also, Sanaya Roman's
Living with Joy,

2. Anything that can calm you down and give you distance from the situation--so you can recuperate and regain strength is great: listening to guided meditations, Yoga, Zen meditation, etc.
3. If you could see a psychotherapist, that would be great--someone to see regularly, as a support.
The main thing is to get through this. Once you're on the other side--and you will be--you can take action to make all the things you're not thrilled with better.
