How do i stop my stage fright?

0

In about three weeks I have to take this drama class. But i have a bad case of stage fright, from singing and dancing to reading poetry and acting. Literally I panic and feel sick to my stomach. I always wanted to preform but I’m so afraid to be ‘center stage’ that I back out of any and every chance i get. Its not that i haven’t tried to preform its just that i get scared and mess up. Just thinking of this class makes me scared, but I have to take it. I really could use some help for my stage fright.

I used to preform in Miami and Dayton beach with big groups of people and sing in school stuff and what i did was talk in the mirror. do your plays in the mirror or get some stuffed animals and lay them out and talk to them. Sounds weird but that helped me a lot. Just before i get on stage i close my eyes and imagine positive things while i dance. Or if you are still frightened you can look past the people. if you look at their head instead of their face it takes of the intensity of seeing their reactions. Dont get nervous, and stay calm! Good Luck!!

Hey, I actually dance a lot and do a lot of youtube videos with my dance crew and what not and honestly the fright that you have is common. Sure you are nervous about messing up and what not but here is the best part about being a perfumer, they are there to see YOU. So what you give them is what they get. The first year I ever started dancing I got boo'ed off stage in front of everyone in my high school . After 5 years, I'm pretty okay at it and everyone that talked down to me tries to hang out with me or asks to dance. Just give it everything you got, put your heart into it. If you have a passion for it dont let anything stop you from getting it! Take that fear and use it to your advantage, use it to help you practice everyday to make you better. If you need to talk shoot me a message!

This is perfection. Do you have a favorite actor or actress. Picture them before a big film and realize they are nervous too. Also, picture yourself as a star and that no matter what happens you have to keep thinking and moving even if you have to make it up. It should be fun to be in the spotlight you can be anyone you want to be! Just loosen up and realize you cant mess up on stage!

I think everybody just wastes their time with all the tricks, to be honest. I mean they are ways to help but not the goal.

There is only one goal you have to set for yourself that will get rid of your stage fright:
Convince yourself you're good.
