Your best bet is to get rid of all distractions.
Whatever you've got that could distract you,
put it in a box,
wrap it duct tape,
cover it up,
whatever.
When I go off to med school, there's no way in hell that I'm gonna bring my TV, or playstation.
The next thing is goal planning and organizing.
Med school involves copious amounts of work.
And in order to get by, we need to learn how to set goals,
divide up the workload on a day-by day, week-by-week basis,
and stick to the plan.
I know that these strategies sound very simplistic and mundane.
But there really is no easier way to do this.
Above all else, even intelligence, med school demands discipline.
You want to be a doctor?
You need to prove it to yourself.
