How can I break away from my negativity?

1

I have been in this funk for a while now, and I want to break free from it. I see problems in almost anything, it’s like I am just not satisfied with what I have. I want to learn to let go of the small things and be happy and grateful for what I have.

You've done so well in learning to be negative, that you need to take that same technique to be positive. You mentioned that you see negativity in almost anything. I think what you need to do is analyze when you do that and ask yourself why you do that. Then you need to try to find the positive in it instead. For example, if you hurt yourself while riding a bike, you could be negative about it, or you could say " Hey, well at least I didn't break anything."What I like to do when I'm feeling negative is to go out and into nature and just see how beautiful it is. Beauty and happiness and positivity is all around you, but you have to change your perception in order to see it.

Thank you, and that is my goal, to change my perception completely. I guess I have learned so well to be negative and see only the problems from a situation, not the positive. It'[s so hard sometimes when I don't even realize I do it.

Everyone gets in that funk sometimes. It can last for a short amount of time or for long periods. The way you look for negative things in a situation should be used to look for a positive aspect no matter how bad the situation. Easier said then done. As everything else, it takes loads of practice to achieve the point where you naturally find the positive things, but don't be discouraged! It's totally worth it in the end. Yes, there will be times where you want to dwell on the negative, but you have to fight that urge as much as you can. Sometimes you will fail, but you still fought and that's what matters. Is there a high amount of stress that's going on in your life? Have you tried meditation? It's very relaxing and I think it can help.If you ever need anything feel free to message me.
