Can I practice teaching someone about what I believe?

2

I am a missionary for my church – and as such, we get to teach people about Jesus Christ and God’s plan for them, among many other things. Is anyone willing to let me teach them? I am a little shy and feel like this would help a lot.

You can stand in front of the mirror and watch your facial expressions. Write what you want to say and the reasoning behind it before you go out there and try to tell other people about it.

I'd be happy to listen to you and actually talk about religion. However, I am not a believer but I am interested to talk to religious people to understand what faith is and why they believe in what they believe. Email me if you want.

Hello! I, too, would be very interested to chat with you. I'm not sure the best way to do that. This is a link to my Websitecontact page. You can email me directly from there. Perhaps we could Skype at some point.Like the fellow above me, I am not very religious, nor do I understand why people want to be missionaries. Having said that, i'm still willing to help. If you want real practice, consider talking to people like me. you will have people openly defy your beliefs and condemn you. I suggest you get used to that, as i'm sure you will. But experience breeds confidence, so the more practice you get, the better you will be. And it is good to debate with people who do not share your beliefs. That's how we learn. It's easy to talk shop with a fellow believer. You will accomplish nothing that way though. Talk to people who disagree with you. It may hurt at first, but if you're smart, your own belief system will grow as well. Good luck to you. Randy
