Birth Control Pills?

So I know you’re supposed to take the pill at the same time each day, but I forgot to, and took it about 3 hours late or so. I had sex the night before, and we used a condom, so we should be fine, but I couldn’t find any information about how much the effectiveness drops when the pill isn’t taken at exactly the same time each day.

I've been taking the pill for 6 years, usually at different times each day. I don't use condoms and no babies so far! I hope that helps you feel a little bit better about it! :p

As long as you take the pill each day consistently, you'll be fine. I used to take it one day at night and one day in the morning; My timeline was all over the place. As long as the pill is either still in your system, or you put in back in your system within a 12-24hour period, you'll be okay. Try keeping it in your purse and setting an alarm. That'll help you remember better. :]

There's a section you can refer to, the patient information that comes with each pack of your pills, that expounds on the liklihood and potential steps to take.

I'm pretty sure it'll be just fine. I take my pills with as much as a 12 hour difference in the time of day I take them, and I don't think it changes how effective it is very much at all. They stay in your system.

I take my pill at different times and I am fine. Don't stress it. As long as you take it and have protected sex, you should be fine.
