Best Friend Problems

So my best friend and I are extremely close, I dont know what I would do without her but sometimes she gets me so mad. She has one of the biggest egos I have ever known and talks about all these guys that love her. She is pretty but she isnt that pretty, I think she might stay stuff like this to cover up insecurities. Now I dont talk to her about any guys that hit on me and she doesnt even know that my number has grown because I dont want to tell her about the guy because she will ruin it. Once I told her about how a football player in one of the lectures was following me and hitting on me and she said that “He was just being nice”, What should I do?

There's not a lot you can really do in this situation. That's her personality and you can't really expect her to change it. So just keep loving her for the friend she is, and find someone more supportive to talk to about your relationships.

Have you told her it hurts you when she says things like that? She's your friend and if she can't respect you enough to pat you on the back then maybe she isn't a friend you wish to keep around. Don't be afraid to let her know that you need things from her to make the friendship continue.

you are probably right about the insecurities. Don't share relationship things with her anymore if she's just going to ruin it. She might realize her mistakes and come back to you for advice. She might miss your conversations. Find another friend who makes you happy about yourself
