Anxiety Help!!!!

0

I have anxiety, and it gets worse when I am around large crowds of people.
I used to only have it when I was in a very crowded place that I was unfamiliar with, and I didn’t know anyone.
Lately, I am getting panic attacks at school, and at my house – the only two places I ever felt comfortable.
I am trying to cope with my panic attacks, but they are only getting worse, and coming more often.
I told my parents about it, and they said that they would take me to get help as soon as we have the money.
They know Iv’e been getting these, and they know how they have been getting worse.
I always had them since I was a little kid, but my mom just thought that I was throwing tantrums so she never did anything. As she sees them progress, she gets worried.
I now have them all the time. I am sometimes able to prevent it by staying away from large crowds, and having one or two friends come with me. (For some reason being alone causes these panic attacks too).

I was wondering if there is anything I could do to help prevent this (Other than going to a doctor)

What I do is find a spot in the crowd I am most comfortable in. Usually for me, its a corner or place in which I can see everyone else, definitely not in the middle. If it's possible, could you play music? Make yourself a playlist of comforting music and cancel out all the noise of the crowd. When I'm home alone is the worst. I've only had two panic attacks, and they've both been home alone. Call or text a friend, fold paper/ cardboard products (weird but super helpful), try a breathing exercise. I hope I've helped, and if you ever want to talk or have any ideas you want to share, I'm also trying to get control of my anxiety. :-)

That's a tough one. The thing that helped me MOST was going to a doctor. The only other thing I have done that helped is act like I'm busy, like playing with my phone as if I'm having a serious conversation over text. Usually I'm just scrolling through Instagram or through my apps. Other than that, I haven't found much that helped me personally, but everyone is different! Let us know if anything works for you! You are not alone! <3 <3 <3

Meditation and yoga, I swear by this. Yoga teaches one to clear up the mind and relax through breathing. I've always had anxiety attacks (almost everyday) before I got into yoga. The last major anxiety attack I had was a year ago, prior to me getting the yoga.

I have had almost the exact same problems in the past and quite recently as well. I got medication for it which helped, but with out it i find the best way to avoid attacks is to have something with you to distract yourself with. For me it was things like reading or just having a casual conversation with someone. Anything that kept my mind from racing and freaking myself out. Meditation and yoga are also supposed to help prevent them, but i never tried that. But maybe have someone you can call when the need be, and just talk to them. Not about how you're feeling but about casual things like your interests, current events, things like that. I'm only speaking out of my personal experience, it may be different for you.
