    @Milo86, Yeah, I was definitely emotionally abused when my ex held my love for her hostage and drove me to self harm, sudden onset anger, panic attacks (still occur about bi-monthly now, 22 months after breaking up with her, but were a daily occurrence two years ago, teenage alcoholism, self-hatred, paranoia and depression by self harming more…[Read more]

    Tell her after saying that you just need ‘my mum to keep supporting me’, which implies that she has been supporting you which makes it seem like less of a change, and appeals to her maternal instinct.

    People do try very hard to take care of other people, and they come on here. I’ve heard some really poor advice before, but there’s no need to do anything but say than you and move on.
