I got out of the hospital Monday afternoon. Tuesday morning I was woken up by my mom because my step brother was missing. Turns out he had taken off between 10pm and midnight the night before and went to his mother’s (who does NOT have custody and has not played an active role in any of my step brothers lives in the last few years). Since he is 17, the police could not force him to come home. At 1:00 this morning, my mother woke me up this morning to let me know that the cops were on their way to our house because my other step-brother found a suicide note in my younger step-brothers bed detailing 3 suicide attempts and who he wants to leave his belongings to. The police have since taken him to the hospital, but if he tells them he is not going to harm himself, they will let him go.
