We are both girls. She is my best friend as well, so that makes life harder as well. I am not a lesbian; I have never been attracted to another girl before in my life and don’t find myself attracted to them as a whole, like I am with guys as a whole. She is the only exception. I am in love with her for several reasons, but the one that remains the most constant is that she can make me happy in a way no one else can, just by her presence. I have felt this way for a few years now, hoping as each year passes that my feelings will also go away. But I still am in love with her. And although I value our friendship more than I do this feeling, as she is the best thing that has ever happened to me, this feeling is poisoning my life.
