Just be honest and ask that they be open minded in advance. Tell them that you need help outside of them. Most insurance cover therapy and you can always go to free clinics therapist which you may have to pay $25 at the most. Don’t research for your town and have the information you find first before approaching your family so it can be less stressful for the both of you.
