Is it an invitation for just the two of you?

In my opinion, as long as you are being honest with your boyfriend telling him you are going to meet a friend they is a guy and he is okay with it then there is no issue. if you start hiding it or lying about where you are then I see an issue. But there is no problem with having friends that are guys

it would be just this guy and me, and I would go just to have fun with a friend,but maybe his intentions wouldn’t be those, maybe he would like something more

If you are confident in the relationship being strictly platonic, I believe that would be okay. Just don’t get yourself into a situation that you can’t get out of, i.e. meet up there separately…

@catirm5 Realistically, it would be good for him to know you are in a relationship, if he doesn’t already. As the beer guy is a new person, do apply all the safety rules you would do on a date (have your own trasportation, have a friend call on you to check how it’s going, etc.), as you won’t know until the hanging out is over if it’s OK to hang with him or if he has secondary goals.
